		<description><![CDATA[Now that winter is upon us, we need the shoe rack to the right of the door for winter shoes. As such, can anyone storing their training shoes please take them home with them after the workouts please. There are also a number of abandoned sweaters, etc. that are left out on the benches. 			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>Now that winter is upon us, we need the shoe rack to the right of the door for winter shoes. As such, can anyone storing their training shoes please take them home with them after the workouts please.</p>
<p>There are also a number of abandoned sweaters, etc. that are left out on the benches. We will be donating them to charity after this weekend so please pick them up if they are yours.</p>

		<title>CrossFit Games 2009 &#8211; Affiliate Team OH Squats/Pull Ups</title>

			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>Here is the second workout from the Affiliate Cup. Amanda, Anne, Kyle and Mike had 20 minutes to get their max pull ups in 3 rounds and max 3 rep overhead squat. </p>
<p>To make the most efficient use of our time, Kyle came up with the strategy to have the girls go first on the OH squats while the guys changed weights. Once the girls hit their max weights, the guys did their OH Squats while the girls did pull ups.</p>
<p>You could attempt the 3 rep max on the OH Squat as many times as you want so while&nbsp;Kyle and I&nbsp;were doing our pull ups, Amanda came back in and did 115 pounds for three reps! Very cool to see both girls go so hard on the pull ups too as this was the second of three workouts that Anne and Amanda did that day.</p>
<p>The total pull ups for all 3 rounds for each person were added to their max weight (in pounds) with the team score being the sum of all four member&#8217;s scores.</p>

			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>Given that they have recently announced the next CrossFit Games (July 16/17, 2010), I thought I better start putting together some of the footage I have.</p>
<p>Here is the Hill Relay from the Affiliate Cup. It was our first event which was great since the fog hadn&#8217;t burned off yet &#8230; it would have really sucked in the heat later in the day.</p>
<p>More videos of the team events and of Megan in the single events will be posted in the coming weeks. Thanks to Megan for the camera work in this event.</p>
