Sectionals Road Trip
The CrossFit Games Sectional Qualifier will be held in Fredericton on March 20th and 21st and CrossFit PEI is sending a group to compete. Of course, this is a great opportunity for a Road Trip for those who want to come check it out … given the crowd there will no doubt be some feats of strength etc. apart from those at the competition itself.
I have gotten the Delta Hotel to set aside a block of 16 rooms for us at a rate of $99/night (including parking and internet). You can call them at (506-457-7000) and let them know you are with CrossFit PEI so that you get put in the same place as the rest of us.
Those of us who competed last year really appreciated the support of those who came to watch. For those spectating, this is a great chance to experience the CrossFit community in a different way … all are welcome.
Mike, you forgot to mention the nutrition seminar with Joey at Dairy Queen after the competition!
Definitely a must Jeff. We missed this last year but it apparently was the highlight of the trip.
Ice cream has never tasted so delicious as after those three WODs and a 5km trail run

As an explanation… being a little nervous, I told Amanda that I could dress up as a girl like in that soccer movie ‘Lady Bugs’ and therefore she’d be guaranteed someone to beat.
As for DQ, I’m always up for a Blizzard challenge. Two large for time!

Some may be wondering why the DQ stop last year? Especially given my interest in nutrition/zone/paleo… well it was a case of “discipline gives way to the moment” and it was a great way to sit down and enjoy that moment with the gang. It was also nice to knock back a few beer afterward as well.
Unfortunately I’m not competing this year but I will be there to cheer on and help (if needed) those who will be competing.

My laptop….gone. Camera….gone. Gps running watch…gone. Passport…gone. We did make friends with the dep sherriff who called yesterday to tell us our bags were found. In a swamp nextdoor to the parking garage. Thankfully passports in tact and the emergency trip to Miami now can be cancelled. Of course all of the electronics were gone.
I was hoping a contingent of cfpei would make the trip down to find these little buggers!!
That and the fact yesterdays high was about 50 degrees is making for a less than enjoyable vacation.

Cindy, I didn’t see anything there on Thursday morning. Hopefully, it is still there since, there really hasn’t been anyone else there in the last couple of days due to storms.
