Thursday, Feb 4, 2010 – Basics Class

Some of the girls hitting the Tuesday night Sumo Deadlift High Pull / Wall Ball workout. Keep those elbows nice and high.
Today we worked on Cleans making focussing on keeping the arms straight until the hips were opened and then making sure the elbows came through fast at the top. Then we went through the Push Jerk progression as a review before we did the workout which was … Grace.
30 Clean and Jerks for time.
We did it in two groups so people didn’t have to worry about counting. While we kept the weight lower than normal to work on technique, everyone still went at this really hard and it was reflected in some excellent times:
