PEI Marathon Relay

October 14, 2009
by

CherylAndSpencer10kIt looks like we have our two teams ready to rock for Sunday. Thanks to everyone who volunteered initially and those who agreed this week.

It’s great to see that we have two strong teams even though we are missing elite runners like Suzy (who moved), Corena and Greg (who are away), Ellen and Pam (who are already running individually), and Gary and Carol (who are running as pace bunnies). Gary, as you can see in the pic, Spencer has a very flattering pace bunny outfit that me may be able to loan you.

Cross fit marathon teamThere will be two teams CrossFit PEI Black and CrossFit PEI Blue.

If anyone wants to help out as on the support team side please let us know, as we may need to arrange some rides for people between legs. Of course, we would love to have anyone who wants to cheer us down at the finish line as well. We may put up a Twitter feed so people know what is going on.

When I look at that pic of last year’s winning team don’t forget the Dave Carpenter and Nigel MacDonald, both of whom are away now with the military were on the team. I will not be there either due to a course in Halifax but will be yelling by proxy.

Any tips for Mike and I on leg #8? Perhaps we should record your “yelling” and hook it up to an audio system. haha.

Joey, do you know the song “Slow Burn” that’s the way the hills felt. Kind of Thruster like.
