Fight Gone Bad … This Saturday

September 22, 2009

Thumbnail image for FGB_badge1.jpgFight Gone Bad IV is this Saturday! This year Canadian affiliates are joining in the fight with the proceeds going to Athletes for a Cure supporting thousands of people fighting and living with prostate cancer.

We are into the final week and the goal is to raise $1 million - we are over half way there! This goal will be reached one dollar at a time, in amounts ranging from $1 to $1000. Anything people can contribute would be greatly appreciated.

So far there are four of us registered as fundraisers on the FGB site. You can go to any of those pages and donate from there.

Cheryl Paynter https://www.rapidreghost.com/fgb/php/frpage.php?frID=28278

If you don’t want to do it online and don’t want the receipt, we’ll have something there for people to throw some cash into – I doubt it will be the bucket with Pukie the clown on it though (we may need that).

Here is a video from FGB III last year. We are looking forward to seeing everyone there.

Thanks to everyone who has contributed so far. Right now our team has raised $915 with almost half of it coming from non-CrossFitters.
Being the competitive types you are I know you aren’t going to let anyone beat you ;)
    Poke poke …

Better look out for Cheryl – she is gaining momentum and is now in second place.
Still trying to figure out the cost of being certified awesome … does a fistful of dollars = a fistful of awesome?

Sorry to say that I also fell into the certification trap…sorry Mike! Just goes to show how easily we can be swayed…

Cheryl is continuing to gain ground and is now just $11 away from first place.
Glad to see everyone donating … although you think people may want to curry favour with a certain instructor who might start taking away reps or something.
    Just saying …

Yeah … that is quite petty of me. Should have gone with the fake “awesome” certification.
Of course, the better tactic would be to just focus on the work like Cheryl who has just moved into first place.
