A full story and pics can be found here.
We even got some press in The Guardian – news story.
This was a real testament of the power of the CrossFit program since none of us have been doing any distance running. When you consider that we’ve not run more than 400m in any workout in the past 3 months, and the longest run we’ve done was 800m!
Great work and great fun. Thanks to Cheryl, our sponsor. Pics to follow later (if you have any forward them to me and I’ll put them on.
I think we beat last year’s best time by 2 minutes as well.

hopefully somebody will check this before going to the awards gathering…are we all going mafia style again and wearing our crossfit shirts.
Congratulations! Excellent showing, I look forward to the pictures…
Nigel, I’m not sure if I’ll be there or not. Depends on a nap and a family function but if I’m there I’ll be in my Colors.
We’ll be going mafia style too Nigel … wearing it proud.
BTW we got pictures of everyone running which we will be posting later. If anyone else has some pics send them along like Dave says.
Good job guys! Congratulations on an excellent race …
Can’t say I’m surprised!! CONGRATS to all of you!! Great job!
OMG! You guys rock!!! Congrats all on a great run!
Congrats on a great run everyone!! I was watching the race and saw Cheryl and Spencer come across the line from the 10K as well.
Good work from everyone!
Tom
And just in case you didn’t know Cheryl did beat the 50 min barrier, she did the 10K in under 49 minutes. The Blog challenge worked. Thanks again for sponsoring our team into the relay, it was great fun.
Barrier it was, a mental one I believe. I have to thank Spencer for helping me do this today. Wouldn’t have done it without him. Yeah, the blog entry helped too Dave!
Cograts to the CrossFit PEI Relay team…knew you guys would have a fantastic showing! Wished I could have taken part…next time….
I have gained a whole new appreciation of what kind of amazing athletes these marathon runners are. I did just under a quarter of what they ran yesterday and was still outpaced by a significant number of them.
When you think about running 26 miles, it’s pretty incredible.
Check out the write up in the Guardian. A few words from Dave in there.

Thanks for the link Lacey. That is a great article with some nice ink for CrossFitPEI.
Congrats team. You also beat last year’s time by over 2 minutes
Wish I could have been there! GREAT WORK!!
I think my favorite picture has to be the one of Nigel passing that man with the ‘mafia sign’… looks like the man is thinking ‘Who does this punk think he is?’ Funny stuff!
